What is the difference between a urine culture and a urethral swab?

To find out if you have cystitis, I suggest you perform a urine culture.
Urine culture is the urine test that allows you to detect the presence or absence of an infection in your bladder (your urine reservoir), allowing you to know the type of bacteria that is attacking it. 🙅‍♀️

Urethral swab: the small tube that carries urine from the bladder and detects an infection in the urethra.
